The Zashiki Warashi is a house spirit, usually depicted in the form of a ghost child in either warrior costumes or patterned kimonos. They are known to bring good fortune and prosperity to the residence they haunt so they are considered as guardian spirits or gods of luck. Like most children, they are attracted to candies and toys. Zashiki Warashi are pranksters but are mostly harmless; however, if they are driven out of homes, the residence can sometimes fall into ruin or worse. 

This handmade necklace is inspired by the Zashiki Warashi’s whimsical nature by spinning vibrant red and metallic gold Kumihimo cords together into a simple but fun design.
