Oni are one of the most iconic Yokai in Japanese folklore. They are sometimes referred to as demons or ogres. They are usually large in size, possess immense strength and sometimes excel in sorcery. Oni are born from the death of sinners sent to Buddhist Hell where they become servants of the ruler of Hell, King Enma, or in other times, they are transformed from living human beings whose souls are beyond redemption.

Taking inspiration from this formidable icon, our hoop earrings are large in size, measuring about three inches wide and are wrapped in thick crimson macrame knots.
